Amazon is a household name and their platform provides an extensive library of royalty-free music for creators to use in their content. Their music is available as individual tracks or albums and they have an impressive selection of different genres to choose from. However, the site can be difficult to navigate and they don’t categorize their music well by theme or genre. This means that you may need to experiment with search terms or scroll through listings to find the right music for your project.

Musopen

Another great resource for classical music, this non-profit organization provides sheet music and recordings that are free to download and use. You can search their library by composer, instrument, time period (such as Renaissance or Baroque), and more. It’s a fantastic option if you need classical music for your video projects.

Audiojungle

This stock music website makes our list because it has a large selection of royalty-free music and is incredibly affordable. Tracks are only $1 each and they have a great range of musical styles to choose from. The site also offers a number of music kits, which are great for crafting a soundtrack to your content.

SoundClick

Despite the site being owned by Shutterstock, this is one of our favorite free music download sites. They have a great selection of music and sound effects and their library is constantly expanding. The only downside is that you will have to sign up for a user account to download music from the site.

Incompetech

Incompetech features a lot of music from one particular artist, Kevin MacLeod. Many of his tracks are used in podcasts and YouTube videos, and they’re all royalty-free for creators to use! The only catch is that you must credit him in your video if you use his music.

Storyblocks

A newer royalty-free music licensing site, Storyblocks is a great choice for videographers because it allows unlimited downloads of their entire music library for free. It’s a little bit more complicated to use than some of the other sites, but it’s worth it because the music is high-quality and the site has plenty of categories to sort through. Plus, you can check out as if you were buying something and download the songs straight away! The only downside is that the song titles can be a little cryptic, but they have a helpful help page to walk you through this.
